Strong results at continental and world championships have boosted the Việt Nam women’s sepak takraw team’s confidence as they aim for gold at the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand.
The Vietnamese team were third in the men''s regu event after losing 2-0 to the hosts in the semi-final match at the ASTAF Sepak Takraw Asian Cup in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Ha Noi won their 61st gold medal yesterday in the
indoor sepak takraw (rattan ball kicking) event during the National
Sports Games played on their home turf.
Vietnamese women defeated Myanmar 2-0 in the qualifying round of
International Sepak Takraw Federation Super Series Grand Finals
currently being held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The first circuit of the International Sepak Takraw Federation (ISTAF)
Super Series will kick off tomorrow and run to Sunday, at the Indira
Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi, India.
Up to 11 teams will participate in the National Junior Sepak Takraw
Championships which began yesterday at the Centre for Training and
Sporting Competition in Soc Trang Province.
